Become a Title Selection Committee Member
Interested in Becoming a Member of a Title Selection Committee?
The books for each division of OBOB (3-5, 6-8 and 9-12) have a Title Selection Committee that collectively reads, discusses and selects titles from the many nominations submitted by the OBOB community each year. Title Selection Committees are comprised of current or former educators, librarians, Executive Board members and experienced OBOB volunteer leaders. Up to nine members on each committee serve for a one-year commitment. Committees are reassessed at the end of each OBOB season.
The Title Selection Committee meets three times (November, January and February) during the year to finalize each division’s Official OBOB Book Title Lists for the upcoming OBOB season.
Applications are accepted throughout the year with a specific call and review process beginning in Spring for the upcoming year beginning in Fall.
